The American Indian Institute at the University of Oklahoma is pleased to announce the eleventh annual Native Women & Men's Wellness Conference to be held March 18 - 22, 2012, at the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego, CA. This conference brings together individuals representing academia, tribal health systems, public health researchers, practitioners, behavioral health, and tribal members from American Indian, Alaska Native and Canadian First Nation communities. Areas of focus are comprehensive, creating a forum for partnership and discussion within and across these disciplines. General sessions, workshops and wellness activities will focus on behavioral health, diabetes prevention, and public health wellness, using a blend of traditional and contemporary strategies. Registration Fee Schedule: Early Bird - $400 (until December 31, 2011)Regular - $450 (January 1 - February 29, 2012)Late/Onsite - $500 (March 1 - March 22, 2012)Presenter - $200 Elder - $300 (reserved for persons 65 years and older)Informational Exhibitors Only (No Arts/Crafts Booths Left) - $400 (limited to 25 booths) Cancellation Policy: Payment must be received five days before the conference or paid on-site. Purchase orders can be accepted only if payment will be made within 30 days of the conference. To avoid cancellation fees, please notify the OUTREACH registration office (by mail or fax) seven days prior to the conference. A $150 cancellation fee will be charged if written notification is received less than seven days prior to the conference. REGISTERED 'NO SHOWS' WIll BE CHARGED $200. Special Needs: The American Indian Institute and Univeristy of Oklahoma OUTREACH are committed to making their activities as accessible as possible to persons with disabilities and/or special needs.
